A Pro Tools plugin store: a novel idea

Usually when I request features, it’s something I want added to the Pro Tools application itself. Today is a little bit different.

I’m sitting here with my morning coffee, browsing the (relatively) new App Store – not the one for iPad and iPhone but for the Mac – and it’s quite simply brilliant. I’m browsing around for products I don’t know because it’s fun. I grab some freebie that I haven’t heard about. I buy something cheap because it sounds like a clever solution to a problem someone else haven’t thought about before.

Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a plugin store like this? It could be a separate app that installs with Pro Tools or it could be a simple link to a cleverly made website.

I completely agree!

Outside the box

Think outside the box. That’s why sound is fun. You keep your ears open, and if you hear something accidental, you can try to work it into the film. It happens all the time.
